• Nicole Mairose Dizon

    WRITER / DIRECTOR / PRODUCER

    Nicole Mairose Dizon is a first-generation Filipina-American writer/director and award-winning producer from Baldwin Park, CA. The daughter of a divorced bookkeeper and former smog technician, her work explores overlooked narratives with elements of surrealism. With stints on shows, at ICM and Scott Free TV, Dizon rose from Writers' P.A. to Showrunner's Assistant on Amazon's Blade Runner 2099. She is a Project Involve Fellow, Kundiman Asian American Poetry Fellow, and a member of the Recording Academy’s GRAMMY U. Her narrative short, Morena, opened Gold House and UTA’s 2023 Filipino/x American History Month Independent Filmmakers Showcase. Dizon’s producing work screened at SXSW, Aspen and Palm Springs International Shortsfest among others; it was also recognized by the NAACP, The New Yorker and Short of the Week. She’s currently wrapping up post on her upcoming narrative short for the 2025 Deutsche Bank Frieze Los Angeles Film Award Fellowship. Outside of work, she loves hiking, music production, baseball (Go Dodgers!) and F1.

  • Mike Maliwanag

    DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY

    Mike Maliwanag (pronounced MAH-li- WAH-nahg) is a Filipino American cinematographer based in Los Angeles. His work has been featured at SXSW, Sundance, Outfest, and other festivals across the world. In 2019, he was selected to participate in the ASC Vision Mentorship while being mentored under Mark Doering Powell, ASC. Mike’s purpose is to continue to shoot films for underrepresented communities. When he’s not shooting, he likes to travel and eat food from different parts of the world. He is currently obsessed with okonomiyaki from Hiroshima, Japan.

  • Calvin Chin

    EDITOR

    Calvin Chin is an award-winning editor who graduated from the USC School of Cinematic Arts in 2018. A self-taught filmmaker since sixth grade, he has worked on a multitude of film projects and movie trailers for Hulu, Disney Plus, Marvel Studios, and more. Calvin has received multiple Clio Entertainment Awards and festival recognition for his work in both film and trailer editing. He aspires to help grow the Hollywood diversity landscape with unique cultural stories and innovative visual storytelling.

    Shyree Mezick is a Casting Director and Creative Producer based in Los Angeles, California. Credits include Early Risers (Pilot) (created by Vy Vincent Ngo), Dealing with Dad (dir. Tom Huang), Lifeline (dir. Feras Alfuqaha), Dear Mama (Film Independent) (dir. Winter Dunn, prod. Nicole Mairose Dizon), Anwar (dir. Fawaz Al-Matrouk), Very Still, Very Quiet (dir. Aaron and Winston Tao), The Places We Won't Walk (dir. Adam Tyree), Find Me (dir. Tom Huang), 88 (dir.   • Jay Dizon

    PRODUCTION DESIGNER

    Jay Dizon is a 1st generation Filipino American, Los Angeles born Production Designer working in film for 16 years. Former Art Director at Disney Studios, currently working freelance in primarily in commercials and narrative short films. His focus is always finding how the production design can elevate and support the story in every production. He has worked in almost every department in his career which has helped curate and contribute to his ability to be a unique filmmaker while being very collaborative and help elevate every project.

  • Malcom Morales

    COSTUME DESIGNER

    Malcom Morales is a Fil-Am creative based in San Jose, CA. Currently working in operations at an accounting firm, Malcom longs to meld his passions in art history and fashion to tell more thoughtful and new stories. He hopes to continue learning in the entertainment industry and supporting a vast range of voices to best highlight their visions, through utilizing costuming and styling. In his free time, Malcom frequents art museums and reading outdoors.

  • Jaimie Pangan

    COMPOSER

    Jaimie Pangan (stage/artist name) is a violinist, music producer and a music composer for film, TV and games, currently based in Nashville, Tennessee. Originally from the Philippines, she loves experimenting string sounds with electronic elements and creates hybrid ambient textures that blend with cinematic drama. Prior to pursuing music, Jaimie worked at IBM Philippines as an IT Specialist and has obtained a patent for an AI hit song generator their team developed with IBM Japan and Singapore. After 3 years in tech, she pursued music through the Master of Music in Screen Scoring program at USC. In 2020, she was invited to be a voting member of the Recording Academy; in 2021, she became a GRAMMYs NEXT alumni. She was also invited to be a part of BAFTA Connect in 2023. Her music can be heard on different platforms such as Netflix, Amazon, Hulu and various Academy Award Qualifying film festivals. She also contributed in the music department of productions under Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, etc. In her spare time, she studies Japanese 日本語, watches films, reads, dyes her hair, crafts non-alcoholic drinks, journals, plays Genshin Impact/Pokémon/Honkai Star Rail and eats Korean/Japanese food.

  • Alex Bologna

    SOUND MIXER

    Alex Bologna is a sound designer and sound mixer from Palos Verdes, CA. Alex found a passion for sound while studying at USC's School of Cinematic Arts. There, he was able to collaborate with many filmmakers and experiment with the art of sound. He was taught by professors who worked on Captain America: The First Avenger, Evil Dead, and Pulp Fiction. Since then, he has worked on many independent movies and short films. He loves projects that allow him to work one-on-one with filmmakers to develop not only their creative vision, but also make a creative connection.

  • Andre Rivas

    COLORIST

    André is a digital film colorist based in the Los Angeles area. He has worked with all major film studios as clients, delivering content for theatrical, broadcast, and special exhibition, as well as supporting independent work that has screened at Sundance, Tribeca, Cannes, Outfest, and others. He is currently working with Picture Shop, through which he can accept bookings globally.
